I am currently running Win 98se with 256mb of ram. have a p3 1gb in a xps t550 machine. i want to maximise my swap file and speed settings to assist with quicker access speed to the hard drive.

Could someone talk me through step by step how to clear my swap file which is currently at 64mb and how to set max/minimum limits for the virtual memory.

Also how to maximise the use of the swap file and where to store it. i currently have my hard drive partitioned and the swap file on the same drive as the o/system.
