Alright, here is the problem.  Right now I'm in the market to buy a new graphics card (I was leaning toward a 6600 GT).  Anyways, in another forum someone bought up that they didn't think that my 250 watt power supply for my Dell 4550 would be able to handle it.  Some people on the thread said it should be no problem, others begged to differ.  Personally, I don't think the power supply is "that" big of a problem, but then again, I know little to nothing about computer hardware.  I mean, I only have one hard drive...don't those take up the most power?  Also, I was planning on removing the 56k card I still have in my box, and also my floppy drive since I hardly, if ever use them.  Would this give me some more power from my machine?  Also, I would settle for a 9800 pro (if my system can handle that card even :smileysad: ), since someone pointed out that they require less power

 

Anyways, I decided to post it here because my system is a Dell, so there are going to be Dell experts that use this forum.  Any help or advice you give me will be much appreciated.  Thanks.
