Intel Application Accel.
I installed it and now when I start it I get an error, "The intel Application Accelerator Driver was not detected. The Application will now exit. Please verify the driver is properly installed"
What is it thinking?!?!?

Hi,
I don't know if you have SP1 installed or not. But I and others on the forum have found that it does not work well with SP1. Personally, I didn't think it did much for performance anyway.
Good luck,
Jane

Nor I. In my opinion the application is just a waste of system resources.

- I had the IAA cause disk corruption and BSODs. This is a documented problem with the version I was using -- it runs all right for a while then some buffer starts overflowing. Since the system was running 24/7, it was up a long time. Luckily I was able to recover the damage, but I'll never use IAA again!
And at any rate, I didn't see any performance improvement beyond booting speed. And I've already said how often I boot the system. :-)
