Klez Virus
I received an email today and when I went to download the "game" I was notified that I had the Klez virus. I immediately downloaded the fix, but it can't find the virus. So far it doesn't look like anything on my computer has been affected by the virus. Is there a possibility that I really don't have it? How can I tell for sure? Thank you for your help!

I did run a full virus scan and it didn't show anything. Do you think I'm okay?

Hi,
What program told you that there was a virus?
If it was Norton, you probably have it set to auto fix of delete the file.
Yes?

Yes, I do have auto-repair. When the message came up that I had the Klez virus it also said it couldn't repair. Does that mean that it was automatically deleted?

Sounds like NAV caught it OK...have a look in Quarantine and see if the file is there...if so, delete from Quarantine.

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).
- May want to watch out though.
I've been getting 4-5 of those every week.
I fell for one (accually didnt' have patch for OE) and got infected when I didnt' have my AV installed. Didn't know it until ZA wanted me to give wink**.exe server permission.

Thanks Dan, there's nothing in quarantine, so I guess I'm all set.
Thanks to all that replied! I feel so much better!

Hi again,
Look in the Quarantined Items folder.
Do you have Norton set to auto delete the files as they come in?
