I'm really getting a little bit worried about my Dimension 450 with Windows 98.  I know it's an older system but I would  love for it to keep going for another year.

 

One day last  week I came back from lunch and my system had rebooted itself.  Then a couple of times when  I had to reboot I get "Cannot find operating system".  Sometimes it just gets stuck on that black screen after the Dell logo and doesn't say anything about not finding the operating system and I have also noticed the MS-Dos prompt icon come up in the startup and that happens every time now.

 

Is this something fixable or an omen of things to come?  I would appreciate any advice.
