So, I bought a new Precision T5810. It has an e5-1660v4 Xeon, and says it supports up to 256 GB of DDR4 2400 RAM. It came with 16 GB in 4 x4 configuration, and I purchased an 8x16 kit. The only difference between the memory that came with the system and the purchased memory kit is that the kit is non-ECC, and thus cheaper and slightly faster. However, when I put the new memory kit in the system, it won't seem to post. Are there any firmware or chipset updates I need to get this amount of memory to post properly? BIOS configuration options? Any help is greatly appreciated.
