I hate windows 8, if I had know it was this bad, I would not have bought a new PC. I spent $800 to get a computer I like a lot less. Thanks Microsoft. 

Anyways.

1) Some programs (like OpenVPN) won't start. They just hang and you cannot force quit them, you must reboot.

2) Some programs don't work the same (like Ccleaner) They start but just sit there and never finish. When I try to quit the program it just hangs and I have to reboot.

Is there anything I can do to be able to reduce hanging programs and is there anything I can to be able to force quit programs without rebooting?
