I've had my 2nd Dell now for a little over 2 years. I recently tried to install WIN XP and boy whata ride..I finally finished downloading all the patches and buying new versions of various software programs I have. Everything seems to be working fine with one exception.

My computer turns itself on.....Also when I try to turn it off, it does a restart not a shutdown.

With my very limited knowledge of computers, I'm guessing that the BIOS may need to be updated. How do I go about getting an updated BIOS since mine was configured under WIN 98. I tried going to the download page, but it keeps looping back to the support homepage???????

I've since reinstalled ME and everything seems to be working again, but I got this 100.00 piece of OS software collectiong dust.......


Can anyone help??
