600m video problem, WARRNING!
When i recieved my 600m, i noticed I had two problems. the first was two shadows flaring from the bottom corners of the screen. The second problem, I will periodically get random chunky graphics plasterd all over my screen.
I told DELL about both problems and was ensured every part of the system would be checked out.
Sent it to Dell to get it fixed (they had it over a week) and all they did was replace the LCD. But that only cured the shadow problem. And after haveing the computer only 3 days after it was supossedly "diagnosed and extensively tested by certified technicians to ensure the problem was corrected" and "confident the repair preformed has fully restored my notebook to working order" The chunky graphics returned, taking over the screen!
They had my computer, my brand new computer over a week and it wasnt fixed, what??!!!
I called DEll and after all this frustration, will recieve a totally new laptop.
Which is what I would expect any company to do.
But this all could have been resolved if the tech support people whould have listened to me. It's obvious the graphic problem is not caused by a faulty LCD, but by either a faulty video card or the mainboard itself!
My computer was slapped together before it was sent to me. As it had not one, but two problems right out of the factory!
I have attached pictures of my graphic problem to show others. If anyone has this problem. Dont bother getting it fixed, have Dell replace the whole computer.
In fact, I reccomend if you buy a new computer and have problems right in the brginning, get it replaced! I don't trust Dell tech support at all.
We deserve to get what we paid for, a working computer. Without the hassel of going through hours of phone tech support to find out the problem still occurs!!
And to top it off, the 30day return was almost up. But thier records were wrong when I recieved the computer and I also had to remind them my computer was being fixed for over a week and should be reimbursed that time! However they did honor me by replacing the computer, which upon being recieved, I will send them back the bad one.
It's ludicris how much trouble I have had with Dell support.
