Re the 7 beep problem - My laptop is an INSPIRON MINI 1012. I took out the battery as someone suggested, but there is no button or anything to press.
PLEASE HELP!

On page 37 is the list of Beep Codes for your system.7 Beeps means Processor failure
Your processor may have come loose or it may be bad. Try to reseat your processor to see if that helps.Here is the service manual for your notebook
