I am trying to connect my inpiron 1100 to my TV (to watch a movie)but cannot get any signal on the TV! I have tried to connect the 's-connector' from the laptop to the TV and the audio as per the manual's instructions but to no aval! I even upgraded the drivers but still get no picture! I am setting the TV to 'video input'. I read that I may need to connect the laptops output into my dvd (stand alone unit) and the the dvd's output into the TV but my dvd player has no s-connector input (only video-input and s-output!).Should I connect (separate purchase) the s-out from the laptop to the DVD player video in and the from the DVD s-out to the TV s-in?? ..help!
