Please help!

My Inspiron 4000 has begun to show the error message "PXE-E05: The Lan's adapter's configuration has corrupted or hasn't been intialized.  The Boot agent can't continue."

I have tried to reboot, using the F2 (and other keys) to access the setup.  I've been successful 1 in about 50 times.  It doesn't seem to give this access consistently.  After that, I simply used "esc" in order to enter into Windows NT.

I've read on the internet that I'm to flash my bios, but others have responded to say that this doesn't work.

Is my motherboard simply gone? 

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
