Esata external drive not recognized
I have an Inspiron 7778 2in1 and recently purchased a combo Addonics CD/DVD and external HDD to read CDs and have more storage. I have a 1TB Seagate SSHD in the External HD and am connected via the USB3 port.
The CD/DVD drive is recognized, but the external HD is not. Any ideas on how to get it recognized?
Any help and suggestions much appreciated.

Try going to device manager -> under storage controllers selected the "USB Attached Mass Storage Device" for the drive you have connected-> right click and select update driver software ->browse my computer option -> let me pick ... option -> in the listed drivers select mass storage device and click OK.
