Headphone socket
Hi folks. We have a PP21L laptop which has had a faulty headphone socket from new(I know we should have!). It is used through an amp via a twin phono lead. Is there any way of connecting from one of the USB sockets? Sorry if this is a stupid question - not very good with the technoicalities of computers.

You certainly can buy a USB Audio Device, there are lots of them for sale. The cost varies widely. I have no experience with these devices specifically and so can't give a recommendation on what to buy. Here are a few I found when searching for "USB Audio": M-Audio, Behringer, Turtlebeach, and there are a bunch of different ones available Here.- Good Luck!

If you connect an external usb sound card to your computer it will replace the integrated audio. You would connect the amp to the line-out of the sound card. A cheap card is
audioadvantage
