The screen on my 8500 keeps going black when I try to boot up.  It happens rights after the windows XP screen and before the log on/user name screen.  After reinstalling windows, I tried reinstalling the video driver.  As soon as the video driver was installed, the same black screen appeared when the computer restarted.  I've tried the original driver, as well as the most recent one from Dell's website.  Neither one works.  Technical support gave up and said it must be the video card.  Any other ideas?  I really don't want to spend the money to replace it (and maybe find out it's something else!)  I've got the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000.  Thanks for any help.
