How prevent boot from cdrom?
Hi forum
Recently i have chat with a technical from DELL support. I am an IT Manager and i need to prevent that users no boot pc from cdrom. But the technical told me that is not possible.
Surprisingly I found that a Dell Notebook PC does not have the technical capacity to prevent that.
I do not understand how Dell may have overlooked this detail technical, very important for the security of information.
In the future, Dell Should do something to prevent Boot from CDROM.
HP and IBM can do it, why not Dell ?

The suggestion of disable boot from cdrom from BIOS is possible, but when the laptop is in the Post a message appear and show," Pres F12 to change order boot", if i press f12 i can change to boot from cdrom.
If i settup the password, it will not prevent to view the message whe the pc is doing the Post.
The laptop is a Latitude D820.
