Hi,

 

I urgently need to boot from a USB based CD Rom. Although i've selected the option in the Bios i have a feeling that a later bios version might actually boot. The media cable to connect the floppy drive is damaged so i cant upgrade the bios via floppy.

 

I know some of the other dell models, we are able to upgrade the bios from the desktop, is anyone aware of Bios package that i can use for the L400 or alternatively, what bios version i need to have to be able to boot from a usb CD rom?

 

I know this is an old forum, but could really do with some help on this.
