I have a Dell XPS M 1330 with windows vista. It kept freezing up every time my daughter would use it to the point where she couldn't use it at all it continued to load windows and wouldn't let her do anything else. I was able to Restore it to factory settings and it worked fine. Then I started updating it with Windows update and it started to freeze up so I tried to restore it back to before I was updating it and it froze up during restore. It was frozen for probably about an hour so I finally just turned it off. Now if I try to turn it on and it takes me to a blank screen where I have two options: 1) launch start up repair 2) start Windows normally.

If I start Windows normally it does not load it all it continues with the Microsoft Corporation black screen for hours until I turn it off. If I launch start up repair it runs the black Microsoft Corporation screen for about a minute and then it takes me to a blue screen. It absolutely will not take me to windows. I have tried hitting F8 and F12 and it still takes me to the black screen with the two options.

The blue screen says

stop: c000021a {fatal system error}

The session manager failed to create protected prefixes system process terminated unexpectedly with the status of 0XC000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000).

The system has been shut down.
