Hello,

Dell has finally realized my computer is dead. It is a 4150 which is no longer in production so they are sending me a replacement machine but are still unsure as to what model it will be. One of the options is a 5100; reading some of these posts about the 5100 scare me and I'm not sure I want to accept this model. Is this overheating problem that bad? Will the Dell technicians knowwhat'm talking about when I tell them what I have heard about this model? Has Dell done anything to fix this issue? One last thing, the technician said the new machine will be labeled "refurbished". He assured me that this machine was sent back to Dell but not for any mechanical problems or repairs. From experience, can anyone tell me if this is true.
