You will need to boot a Windows 7 disc to start the restore.  You can't use the quick restore boot after you manually upgrade the OS.

I have tried booting to a window 7 OS and tried to follow the link, however it has not worked because

when I choose repair I can't  get to the command prompt  repair option only in windows, also I can see the data on my recovery drive which is E

but I do not see a tools directory, what am I doing wrong.

    Thanks
