I have an Inspiron 8000 running ME(unfortunately!)...I like to listen to the radio. I am forced to use Real Player or Flash Player because I cannot get the radio stream to work in Windows media Player(Version9). I have re-loaded it and I STILL get the same error message:-

 

"Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the Internet or insert the removable media on which the file is located, and then try to play the file again."

 

I am not trying to play a file I am trying to connect to the Internet to lsiten to the radio....all other aspects of Media Player work perfectly. I need media Player to work because some radio stations only let U listen through Media Player.

 

I have set my Network Streaming Controls to "Autodetect" in Media Player Options. I dunno what else I can do?
