Hello all,

I have been looking for solutions (I'd settle for acknowledgment from Dell that these issues are recognized and are being worked on) to two key problems that, in my opinion, render the Table XT no more than a very expensive small form-factor laptop (ie: don't buy it for the tablet features - they're currently busted).

1. The pen tap bug - where pen tapping is not recognized or multiple taps (sometime) work, as seen in key tablet applications such as OneNote, Outlook and Firefox. This has been reported before - but other than a complete O/S rebuild as a potential fix, I haven't been able to find a solution.

2. The nTrig driver/applet failure error - which occurs just after login - where the O/S presents a dialog box with the "NtrigApplet Can't connect to driver: Failure to open Device" error message. The tablet does not recognize the pen at this point - thus defeating "THE" reason you get an XT.

I'll skip my comments on how it is that the fundamental feature set of any tablet can be so busted - and ask three things:

1) Has anyone found any concrete solutions to these two (critical) issues?
2) Is Dell aware of these / actively working on this (sending much love to the n-Trig folks)?
3) How big of a problem is this in the XT user base? Given these fundamental problems, can I assume that by the relatively few complaints I've found on these issues, that these are low-percentage issues, and I'm just unfortunately one of the few who has a really expensive small laptop and wished they'd gotten a tablet instead?
