When I set my refresh rate in Windows 7 to 120hz everything gets all blurry. Dell had incorrectly sent me a single link DVI connector, but I purchased a DVI-D Dual Link on Amazon which arrived today.
I set the -refresh 120 in Counter-Strike Source and you can definitely tell it's working, it's so smooth but again...the text is blurry and looks awful. I'm running a resolution of 1920x1080 both in Windows and CSS. I'm running the latest 11.10 preview 3 drivers.
It looks fine when set to 60hz @ 1920x1080. As soon as I jump to the next available option (100hz+) text becomes unreadable, and all the icons get blurry. I tested both DVI spots on my 5870 to no avail. I am also absolutely positive I'm using the correct DVI-D (Dual Link) cable.
I'm unable to post a screenshot because Print Screen does not capture the distortion, and I don't have a digital camera near me.
I have set both the desktop and in-game to 1080p 120hz and they both look the same. I forgot to mention that this was a refurb I purchased from the Dell Outlet. I'm wanting to return it because I've tried everything humanly possible to get this working. Do you know if Dell will ship me another one before I return this one? The reason being that with me having to ship it back, and wait for the Dell to process it then ship it back to me...I could be looking at a month without a monitor.

How does it look when set to 60Hz? Post some pitcures of the text using both120Hz and 60Hz. Did you test the other video card DVI port?
