Screen Cleaning
We have a Trinitron Monitor. I'd appreciate some advice on how to clean the screen. We think we got instructions on how to do this from the Dell website when we first purchased our system but have been unable to find these, either in hard copy or on the site. Can anyone help please. Thanks.

helmac,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
To clean the screen of the monitor, first disconnect power to the monitor. Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the screen. If possible use a special screen-cleaning tissue or solution suitable to the antistatic coating. Spray the cloth with the cleaner, just enough to wet it, and wipe the screen clean.
CAUTION: Do not use industrial strength cleaners or petroleum based solvents, they will damage the anti-glare coating of the monitor. Many products designed specifically for cleaning the screen of monitors may actually cause damage to the screen or leave undesirable residue behind. Such cleaners are not recommended for use on Dell monitors.
