I have a 10-year-old monitor: a Dell U2515H.

I spent about an hour searching the Dell website for where on earth that software is located which allows you to control brightness, color temperature, etc. The AI assistant on the site is completely useless.

Later I found it, downloaded it, and installed it.

After that, the application says it can't find a compatible monitor. I thought, what the heck? That's when I turned to ChatGPT. It wrote that only version 1.x of the application handles this "old" monitor. I Googled it and it turned out that it has completely disappeared from Dell's website. It throws a 404 error everywhere. Continuing my search on the archive.org website, I found version 1.56, which I downloaded, installed, and it works. We are talking about a 1 MB program. I don't understand why it's not possible to integrate "older" monitors into the "new" app. And I especially don't understand why, if that doesn't work, earlier versions have to be removed from the servers. Is this solution the winning strategy? That you have to download the app from archive.org? Or should I throw my monitor in the trash and buy a new one?
