U3417W, general flickering issue

Hi,

I'm posting because my U3417W is having serious flickering issues (tested on two different computers, however the self test doesn't show anything wrong), and I seem not to be the only one affected:

  1. https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/U3417W-screen-flickering/td-p/6231348
  2. https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/U3417W-horizontal-lines-flicker/td-p/6098237

Mine does too, as seen in this video: https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/62e2f554-d01f-4832-abbe-30a52642c4c2

How does the RMA work? Do I have to pay for shipping? How much time will the monitor be unavailable from me?

Thanks!

Thank you! We have received the required details. We will work towards a resolution via private messages to ensure the security of your information. In the meanwhile, you may receive assistance or suggestions from the community members as well.

Read this and post the asked for (non-private) troubleshooting data.

In Dell terminology, a RMA (return maintenance agreement) is a return for credit which can only be done inside the initial 30 days from the Dell invoice date.

After 30 days, you may only get a refurbished EXG (exchange). Before any monitor exchange is setup, you will troubleshoot with Dell to prove that the monitor is faulty. Once the monitor exchange is setup by Dell, you keep the current monitor until you receive the replacement monitor. You then send the original monitor back to Dell. There is no charge for this.
