I took over the duties about a year ago, so I'm still pretty new. I have been assigned the task of building out an entire new system. A new server that will be 64 bit, new library, and storage devices. I've been looking for some good whitepapers on the different scenerios for the replacement server. Do you know where I may find some?

Did your TL4000 arrive yet?  It is listed in our compatibility guide with SAS drives, so should not be an issue.  Are you new to NetWorker?

Good to hear!  Do you have access to Powerlink?  There are a few items you might want to review.  First would be the NetWorker Procedure Generator.  This will help with pre-requisite OS information, pre and post installation instructions.  See Eric's post

Hi Bob,

Not sure if you've made your purchase yet, but I've been using one for over a year now, and it's been great.  I went from a Quantum M1500 (2xSDLT320) to this unit with 4 SAS LTO-4 drives.  Very affordable, fast and stable.  I've only had two minor problems since I've had it, one caused by a bad tape (not the ATL's fault).  The other was with the persistent mappings in Windows after a firmware update.

Persistent mapping issue was resolved by a reg key (HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Tape - Persistence Reg_DWORD set to 1), also reverted back to default MS drivers from the latest supplied by Dell (IBM branded).
