NetWorker 7.6.1 (Update from 7.6.0) and AFTD (Windows specific)
Hi,
just want to let you know this:
NetWorker 7.6.0, if used with an aftd on a local disc with drive letter, but withou sub directory, like this:
F:\
create a RO device like this:
F:\\_AF_readonly
After the update to 7.6.1 there will be a second RO device with this name:
F:\_AF_readonly
Both devices are not deletable, must delete the primary. But:
the newly created device will not get deleted, and remain undeletable. Offline (nsradmin -d) it is deletable.
But again, after creating the new aftd as F:\ a RO device F:\_AF_readonly will be created which is again
not deletable.
It is not possible to create the aftd only as F:
To create an aftd which is working as expected it is neccessary to use a sub-directory as device name. like this
F:\dir
Now it is possible to create the device without trailing backslash
And the corresponding RO-device is correct, will be deleted togeher with the RW-device.
What is still not working: only the first mount, when the RO device does not exist, creates this and mount the RO volume.
subsequent umounts and mounts of the RW volume will (in my case) not (u)mount the RO volume.
I will not follow this thread, it is really just to share my experience.
