Hi Everybody -

This might be a silly question but here goes -

I want to link my Dimension 4500 (W-XP Pro) with my secondary Dimension 8300 (W-2k pro) so I can use the hard drive on the 8300 as a back-up for my large photo image files. Do I need a special cable and will the different operating systems recognize each other?

Will this connection allow me to send information from the 8300 to the 4500 too?
