Hi I am new to the forum.  I have a Dell Laptop E1705 with Windows XP media.  I am surprised that I do not see any posts here regarding this error.  When I searched for it on the internet, there were tons of results - including many for Dell [unfortunately, I could not find a fix for this that I can understand.  I tried using RegCure but it seemed to make things worse..

Anyway, recently I started getting this dreaded error message.  I have no idea why it started up - perhaps an automatic update?  Anyway, then the day before yesterday my pc crashed when I was viewing a site [I do not remember which] and since then, my pc freezes up everytime Windows XP loads.

Is there a fix for this?

I have not been able to use my PC for two days now [I borrowed this one] and it is my LIFELINE.  So, if anyone can help I will be forever grateful!!
