I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me but I fear the worst - that my network adapter is bad. I'm using an Inspiron 1150. I keep getting a 'A network cable is unplugged' error. This can happen anywhere from every few seconds to every 5 minutes or so. When I get the error I'm unable to access the internet (I'm at a college and connect to their network via an ethernet cable) I've watched the lights on the network connection in the back and they reflect this behavior, they turn off every so often. I know this isn't my cable or the actual connection because I connected my laptop to my roomate's network cable, which is functioning correctly, and had the same problem. I tried reinstalling the network adapter drivers, to no avail. Any suggestions? Its driving me nuts! Thanks!
