To help troubleshoot this problem, on the computer with the problem and while you are within range of the wireless network you are attempting to connect to, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

Your problem is that you have DHCP disabled and it will thus never connect to a network with the static IP address you have set.   You need to set the TCP/IP properties to "Obtain an IP address automatically".  Why is it set as a static (and in your case, noo-routeable) IP address in the first place?

    Hi Steve,

I took the help of the ISP and things just started working fine after the IP was changed.

So things are now working fine even if I have not selected the "Obtain IP Address Automatically".

Also the ISP person says that DHCP is not enabled and he used some modified IP and its working fine now :smileyvery-happy:

Thanks a lot for your help.
