PSP wireless problem, not technically PC related but...
Ok, i have a PSP system and am having trouble with the Wireless Networking mode. It will find my network but time out fiding the IP address. I called sony and was first told it was my router, a linksys wireless g with speed boost. They said "No linksys router will work with it." I said bull poop, and asked to speak to someone else. THe next person i talked to said it was a problem with my router configuration and walked me through several steps but the problem still wasn't fixed. She transferred me to another person who said it "Has to be my PSP. Send it in and we'll send you back a refurb."
I have opened the ports, deactivated my WEP, taken it to several other places with wireless networks and tried to connect, flashed the firmware and reloaded it, set the network from mixed to b-only, and made sure my other wireless devices could connect to my network (my sister has an Insipron 6000 on the other end of the house). I am very hesitant to send it in for a refurb, i paid for a new unit not a used one.
I work with computers for a living, i won't say where i work because of company reasons, and have set up over 3 dozen networks with over 50 pc's each. I am at my wits end!!! Does anyone have any suggestions of things i haven't tried yet or should i just send the unit back in and hope that the refurb works?

If the PSP cannot connect to any other wireless network sucessfully, even ones where you know other PSPs can connect, then I would conclude that the problem lies with your PSP. What's wrong with a refurb. By law, all replacement parts must be labled refurbished, even if they are brand new.
