Spooler Subsystem Error - Different Solutions Found
I am getting the 'spooler subsystem error' and have found 1 solution on Dell's site and 2 on MicroSoft's site. All three are a little different and I'm not sure which one to use. The one on Dell's site references the oldest one on MicroSoft's site (324757 - May 13, 2004). The Dell solution is a little different from the MicroSoft solution it references. The newest one on MicroSoft's site is dated Sept 15, 2004 and is article 810894. This one does not mention disabling and stopping the Lexbce server. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which solution I should use? Should I call Dell's technical support and get them to walk me through this? Or should I just shoot my PC and put it out of it's misery?!?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Linda_in_FL,
Since the problem is related to the Lexmark printer software, the Dell Techies will most likely have you call the Lexmark Techies for help on this. A good course of action would be to try each solution in turn to see which one fixes your particular problem. A number of different problems can result in spooler subsystem errors. Follow a process something like this:
1. Set a system restore point. Try solution #1.
If it is fixed, stop here. If not, continue...
2. Restore your system to the point you recently made. Try solution #2.
If it is fixed, stop here. If not, continue...
3. Restore your system to the first restore point that you made. Try solution #3.
If it is fixed, stop here. If not, continue...
