Wireless Access Point

I'm working on wireless for my entertainment room. I will be using 1-2 computers for gaming and a game console (haven't decided PS3 or Xbox 360). I figure the best way to do it, rather then buying a wireless adapter for each system is to get a wireless accesspoint, and then a router. I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible, but I will pay for what will give me better quality over junk. For a WAP i've seen and liked those Netgear Wall plug WAPs, how are those? I currently have a Linksys router, and linksys wireless PCI adapters in my computers, I really like them, how does Netgear's quality compare? I want to be able to game on three connections without lag, although that will hardly be ever, I want the capacity just in case it is needed. My cable connection is roughly rated for 3mbps, something like that. Thanks in advance

Netger, Linksys, Belkin, and D-Link are all about the same for quality butI would stick with one brand name for better Csutomer Service.  run a direct ether connection from the router to the game room and put the AP in that room for the best possible signal.
