Go to Solution(redirected) Disconnected and nothing resolved...again
This started about 3 months ago with Dell trying to recover my data that I saved using their software. They followed up a few times with me to let me know they had not been able to resolve it yet but then they just stopped communicating. It has been about 6 weeks now and I had been meaning to follow up myself but things get busy sometimes. I spent 2 hrs on the phone today to find out they had closed that case number and because I was outside of the 30 day warranty and I didn't have their premium support they would need to charge me. About 2hrs into this whole mess the tech support guy who is remote logged into my computer says he has to transfer me to another tech. Eventually the line goes back to their main line and when I ask for tech support again it eventually disconnects me about the same time as the remote session is disconnected. I have been a Dell customer since 2002 and I think this is it for me. We have had nothing but problems with our 2350 Inspiron since we got it. We've had it replaced and then had a new screen and motherboard put on the second one. I don't care whose at fault (software/hardware) I just want it resolved and I want my 211gb of data to be restored without paying out the nose for it since this all happened in the first 30 days anyway and Dell never resolved it. Sorry, but closing the case number does not resolve anything. This is my last time with them and I will not be recommending them ever again at this point. They need a serious make-over from top to bottom.
