Got a Dell Optiplex 3080 Micro with Windows 11 Pro installed. The Monitor is a Lenovo ThinkVision, connected via Display Port.
When I start the 3080, the screen stays black until the Windows Welcome is displayed. As this is irritating I would rather have some BIOS messages displayed during start, so I see there is progress.
I figured that this is probably controlled by a BIOS setting ... but now I can't access BIOS.
When I press PF2 after starting the PC, the screen stays black forever.
What am I doing wrong? To me it looks as if there is no display port support at the time BIOS is entered.
BIOS-Version/-Date is Dell Inc. 2.27.0, 02.09.2024.
Any help is appreciated.
