Central Management for Dell Workstation Updates - Drivers, BIOS etc.
Hi All,
New to Dell and looking at managing about 20 across my network. My question is does Dell offer a way to centrally detect and deploy driver updates, bios updates etc. across my workstations? It looks like the Dells come with a Dell Update App on the machines, but it is all standalone. Just wondering if there is a way I do this centrally?
With HP, I used to use their Softpaq manager which would tell me which new drivers and firmware was available for the models I had selected and then I could put those updates into a central repository and run their SSM tool to deploy the updates.
We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.
As long as you have Dell Pro support active on the workstations, you can use Dell TechDirect at techdirect.dell.com. this is the best way to manage the drivers and BIOS at this time. But you need support contracts on those PCs. otherwise, it's just read only.
