Recently I got a Optiplex 3020 MT which has a CPU i7-4790. I understand that this CPU supports upto 32 GB RAM. The motherboard in the computer is Dell 040DDP A01. From the literature that I read, this motherboard has 2 DIMM slots and maximum memory is 16GB. Currently I have only 8GB RAM. Would like to know with the existing setup, whether I will be able to upgrade the RAM to 32GB? or I can only have maximum of 16GB since the motherboard supports only 16GB.
