When will Dell provide new BIOS with the Intel 0x129 microcode?
When will Dell provide new BIOS with the Intel 0x129 microcode to fix the Intel 13th/14th gen CPU issues? Some other manufactures have already released the new bios.
We’d like to inform you of a new communication regarding Industry-wide Issue with Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation i5, i7, and i9 Processors. To determine if your computer is affected, please check your service tag at Dell Support. If your system is impacted, a banner will appear indicating this.
Intel has released a microcode update that Dell has incorporated into BIOS updates for all identified models. These updates, available since August 16, 2024, on the Dell Support Website, are crucial to maintaining the stability of your processor. We highly recommend that you update your system to the latest BIOS containing this Intel microcode.
If, after updating the BIOS, your computer experiences blue screens or application crashes, please contact support by clicking the ‘Get Help Now’button located at the bottom right corner of the page.
I think you mean 1.5.0 instead of 1.0.5. Regardless, all of those you listed are July, which we already know about. There is a permanent bios fix that is for August. That's the one we are interested in. They will all come out at the same time, whenever that is. Hopefully any day now.....
