    Don,

The issue sounds like a corrupt BIOS. We will need to flash the BIOS and see if that resolves it.

What happened before this happened (hardware/software changes)?

Was there an attempted update that failed?

Lastly, what is the OS installed on the server?

It means running an update on the BIOS.

Is the server able to reach the OS at any point currently, or is it hanging at the error?

    Dear Chris,

Thanks for your reply,  but please what do you mean by flashing the Bios?

No update or hardware and software changes, the os on it is 2008 server enterprise.

    Thanks.

Thank you. What we will need to do is boot to the 32 bit diag media, you will create it with this download -

    www.dell.com/.../poweredge-t310

Once that media is created you will boot to it and then exit from the tool. That will put you at a command prompt.

Run this bios update from that command prompt.

    BIOS update - www.dell.com/.../poweredge-t310

Let me know how it goes.
