i lost the original dvd iso windows server 2008 r2 that came with my server (poweredge r620) currently i have upgraded to windows server 2012 , i can't install windows server 2008 r2 dvd i just created. can anyone help me with a solution? is there a way i can create an iso together with all the drivers required?
thank you for helping. So thats mean i can burn a new windows server 2008 r2 to a new dvd and install from LCC and re-install the server without merging all the drivers to that OS?
You don't have to "merge" the drivers at all. All you need to get the OS installed is the drivers for the storage controller. That doesn't need to be "merged" or "integrated". Put them on a flash drive, or even the same flash drive used to install with. When it can't find drives to install to, select Load Drivers, and browse to the location of the driver. You can install all other drivers after the OS is installed.
If your DVD 2008 R2 ISO doesn't work to boot from, it will not work with LCC either. Make sure it is created properly.
