We have a R200 connected to a MD1000. Starting a couple of weeks ago, MD1000 is reporting the drive on 0:0:2 has failed. I replaced it with a hotspare but the same thing happened. Both drives have been tested and came back ok, so I plugged back in the drive that was originally in there and after a couple of days rebuilding it, the MD1000 is again reporting it as failed.

If it was just the one drive, I could see it having issues, maybe the tests didn't report, but two drives is a bit strange. Another strange thing is, if I plug in a drive into slot 0:0:8, the MD1000 reports it has being in 0:0:33, which of course doesn't exist. 

The MD1000 is running the latest available firmware, could it be a controller problem? Should we replace the whole thing with, say, a MD3200?
