Hi all,

 

I am changing some parts on my T5600 and i am having some issues powering up the system. I am trying to methodically test each component to see if its the ram, any of the two CPUs or the motherboard.

I have tested the PSU by removing the Distribution Unit (PDU) and it turns green and the fans start spinning when i press the power test button in the back.  However whenever i connect the Distribution Unit (PDU) [it is a small card where the 24 pins cable, the two cpu 8 pins and the one 6 pin vga pins connects to] to the PSU and i try pressing the power test button i dont get a green light. 

 

Is the PSU power test button supposed to light up with only the Distribution Unit (PDU) connected? i have tried connecting everything and i still cant get any power and i get a failed power test. 

 

Any ideas, suggestions?
