1600N network firmware upgrade

I have a 1600N that I'm attempting to upgrade the firmware on.  I need to update both the printer firmware and the NIC's firmware.  The problem is that the newest firmware from dell uses a new program to install the firmware (instead of the web interface on the printer) and the program won't find my printer.

I've tried it on 2 machines, nothing
I've tried it with just one machine, the router and the printer, nothing
I've tried it with one machine, the printer and a crossover cable, nothing.

I finally tried connecting via the USB port and that did allow for updating the printer's firmware, but not the networks firmware.  Now I'm showing Printer's FW as 1.23 and the nic's as 1.08.

The driver finds the printer perfectly and the printer is up and running on all machines.  However, I still can not get scanning to work.  Any ideas?  Can anyone email the pervious versions of the firmware so I can just use the web interface to update? TIA

Nope... Nothing yet.  I'm not pressed for a scanner, so I haven't been pursuing the solution.  If you find anything out, let me know!

Finally figured it out!!!  It was the windows XP firewall that was blocking the update software from seeing the printer over the network!!!  I just turned off the firewall and it showed right up!!!
