1710 Rear paper jam
I have a 1710 printer that is jamming in the back of the printer. There is a set of rollers in the back, right after the paper exits the fuser, that feed the paper towards the top, where another set of rollers feeds it out of the printer.
The leading edge of the paper is stops an inch or two after the rollers right after the fuser.
The rollers look worn. I cleaned them, and that helped for a short time.
I tried calling Dell to get a part number to order a new roller assembly, but since it is an out of warranty printer they won't talk to me without a possible tech support fee.
I just want to order the part and replace it myself and see if that solves the problem.
I did get through to one tech support person after much effort and they said the part was RC466, "INPUT ROLLER CLUTCH/ LEVER ASSY FOR 1710/N". They insisted this was the entire assembly for the rear rollers, so I had them send it to me. Turns out it was for the front pickup rollers.
Does anyone know the part number for the rear rollers, what it's called, and/or where I can find it?
