my Dell 948, when printing anything, loads the paper well enough - but then try as it might, the paper no longer advances.

The wheels, gears and such are moving - as it the ink - but the paper is left standing at the starting gate.

I cancel the job and a paper jam error appears. oh,if it were only a jam. Any thoughts please? thank you!
