HDD Encryption

I'm trying to set up encryption of a new disk with Vostro 3750. I would like to make a shadow copy of existing data from unencrypted disk to the new one, with encryption.

According to following instruction I set up HDD password in a bios and replaced disk with a new one.

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/whitepaper/whitepaper06.html

Then I boot up laptop with a hdd password and using Clonezilla copied data from old disk to new. I was hoping that new data will be encrypted.

At the end I removed HDD password, boot up laptop and ... my windows started normally. So, data is unencrypted.

Any ideas how to enable disk encryption?
