Interesting problem.
I installed a CDRW just below my DVD ROM on my Dimension 4600. All went well, I used the cable ribbon closest to the open drive slot, set the jumper to CS and powered up. All went without a hitch.
Now, the intersting problem. When I place Jedi Knights Academy into the CDRW drive, to play the game, it asks for Disc 1, which is already in. If I put the game disc into the DVD ROM, it plays fine. Then, if I put it into the CDRW first and then put it into the DVD, it will ask for the game disc, even though it is in the DVD ROM. Any suggestions?
I know I can simply use the DVD ROM to play the game but would like to know why it will not play in the CDRW Drive. Do I need to use a different ribbon to the back of the CDRW? Do I need to set the jumper differently? Thanks.
