Playing back ambient music on my Dell M1710 (Steve Roach);

 

unfortunately I can't hear the music, because the DVD/CD drive is spinning the disc so fast (it sounds like a hover mower/jet engine complete with vibration).

 

Since the CD only needs to spin at x1 to playback audio CDS, this is ridiculous!

 

Is there a freeware util available to restrict CD audio spinning speed?
